Life goes on – WA Gold Nuggets

WA Gold Nuggets

In August 1989 I went to Cue to set up a Gold Heap Leach operation at Day Dawn for Sons Of Gwalia.

It was a 2 year operation which I completed on time, and then stayed an extra 7 years.

I was a metal detecting freak before I went there, so 9 years in Cue was a real bonus.

Only working as a casual part time detector operator, I estimated I found something in excess of 50 Ozs in that time. I sold some to the Mint, some to friends and the last of it I sold on the American E-bay. The Americans really like West Australian gold.
