The programme is tailored with competency frameworks to match graduates’ career interests, align with business opportunities, and develop technical capability. Graduates are supported by supervisory and mentoring relationships as well as a dedicated Perth team.
Once graduates are promoted, development within AGAA continues with individual development career pathways prepared for each discipline.
A successful summer and winter vacation student programme also feeds into the graduate pipeline talent pool and in 2023/24 a total of 33 students joined AGAA’s summer programme.
Nearly half of those (47%) transitioned into the 2024 graduate cohort of 25 and recently took part in a two-day orientation in Perth.
The company also introduced an Electrical Engineering framework as part of its Graduate Programme this year.
The calibre of the company’s Graduate Programme resulted in it being awarded Grad Australia’s (Prosple) 2023 Best Workplace awards for Mining, Oil and Gas in the areas of Culture, Recruitment, Employee Engagement and Social Responsibility.
AGAA is now gearing up for the 2025 intake of graduates with applications opening on the 18th of March in the disciplines of Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Open Pit and Underground Surveying.
